Compulsory Acquisition Hearing 2 (CAH2)
Compulsory Acquisition Hearing 2 – ‘Objections’, will take place on 15th September. This is a hearing for those who are officially considered Affected Parties only. That is, those whose land and/or property is directly impacted by the proposed LTC.

We have been advised by the LTC PINS Case Team that they will be contacting those persons who requested to be heard at a CAH by Procedural Deadline D shortly if they have not made clear whether they will be attending in person or virtually to these events; and to also ask which of the Compulsory Acquisition Hearings they wish to attend.
Please note that this hearing is specifically for those listed in the agenda, further CAH will take place in Oct and possibly Nov for other Affected Parties who have requested to speak at a CAH. The agenda for this hearing was amended on 8th September, please see amended agenda here.
Location: Blended event – In person at Orsett Hall Hotel, Prince Charles Ave, Orsett, Grays RM16 3HS / Online via Microsoft Teams
Starting: 2pm, with registration for the hearing from 1.45pm
The Examining Authority (ExA) will publish a detailed agenda on the project webpage at least five working days in advance of the Hearing date. However, the actual agenda on the day of each Hearing may be subject to change at the discretion of the ExA. This hearing is aimed at Affected Persons. CAH1 will be aimed predominantly at the Applicant, National Highways.

NB. Continuation of this hearing (if required) will be on a date, time and place to be set. NB. There are also other dates reserved for other CAH in October and November if required. Please see our LTC DCO Process Timeline for more info on the reserved dates.

You do not need to register to watch the hearing. A link to the livestream of the meeting will be published on the project webpage and the livestream will begin at 10am. A recording and transcript of the hearing will also be published on the project webpage shortly after the hearing has taken place.
