Transport Select Committee roads policy (NN NPS) inquiry
The Transport Select Committee roads policy (NN NPS) inquiry held an oral evidence hearing on Weds 28th June 2023. The NN NPS is the National Networks National Policy Statement. This policy covers both roads and rail, the fact the majority of it is around roads highlights the focus on roads in this country, when other modes of transport should be given more consideration.

There were two oral evidence hearings on the 28th, one at 9.30am the other at 10.30am.

DfT draft NN NPS Consultation
Please note that this inquiry should not be confused with the Department for Transport’s consultation on the draft NN NPS! There are a number of different consultations and inquiries that take place in relation to this policy as it is progressed.
